Built by researchers, for researchers

BioInfoConnects (BIC) was created because bioinformatics is fragmented. Jobs are scattered across LinkedIn, Indeed, and lab websites. New tools appear on GitHub and bioRxiv with no central alert system. Bioinformaticians across every continent — from Asia, Africa, and the Middle East to the Americas and Europe — have never had one unified place to connect, collaborate, and grow together.

BIC fixes that. It is a free, open, truly global community platform where every bioinformatician — from first-year PhD student to tenured professor, from New Delhi to New York, from Nairobi to Tokyo — belongs equally.

We are not a commercial company. We are a community project powered by automation and shared science.

🌍

Truly global

Every country, every career stage — one platform with no paywalls.

Automated and real-time

Our bots scan job boards and preprint servers daily so you never miss an opportunity or discovery.

🔬

Science first

No ads. No algorithms pushing viral content. Just relevant science, jobs, and tools.

🤝

Community governed

Researchers share papers, suggest tools, and shape the platform direction together.

Why BIC exists

Our Vision

A world where every bioinformatician — regardless of geography, institution, or career stage — has instant access to the tools, knowledge, jobs, and collaborators they need to advance computational biology and improve human health.

Our Mission

To build and maintain a free, automated, globally accessible community platform that connects bioinformatics researchers, delivers real-time alerts on new methods and tools, and centralizes job opportunities in omics, genomics, proteomics, AI/ML in biology, and all related computational fields.

Core Motto

"Reduce the time from discovery to community awareness — from 6 months to 6 hours."

Everything a bioinformatician needs

01 — JOBS

Automated global job board

Our bot scans job boards worldwide every hour and posts new bioinformatics, computational biology, and omics positions automatically. No manual posting needed.

02 — RESEARCH

New papers & preprints feed

Daily automatic alerts from bioRxiv, PubMed, and arXiv. Researchers also share their own publications — title, abstract, and DOI — directly on the platform.

03 — TOOLS

Bioinformatics tools directory

A community-curated directory of pipelines, software, databases, and AI/ML models across all omics fields. Searchable and filterable by category.

04 — NETWORK

Verified researcher profiles

PhD students, PostDocs, Staff Scientists, PIs, and Professors create verified profiles. Connect globally, find collaborators, follow research groups.

05 — ALERTS

Telegram & email notifications

Get instant Telegram alerts the moment a relevant job or paper is posted. Already powered by the live OmicsJobAI bot with 24/7 uptime.

06 — FREE

100% free, always

No subscription. No premium tier. No ads. BIC is a community resource built on open-source tools and free-tier cloud infrastructure. Free forever for researchers.
